One of my favorite activities in any place is shopping. Yes, Nainital too has a vibrant Mall road and Tibetan market offering the shopaholics beautiful items. Dotted with shops and shacks this bustling market is a famous hub for shopping. Be it Tibetan bags, scarves, ethnic dresses, woolen mufflers, junk accessories, stylish watches, home décor, scented candles, or beautiful bangles, Mall Road and the Tibetan market is just for you.

4. Seek blessings at the revered temples in Nainital

Nainital is not only famous for its endless beauty but also known for its beautiful and pious temples. The revered Naina Devi temple and Hanuman Garhi temples are one of them. Head towards the Hanuman Garhi temple to seek blessings of lord Hanuman located just 3.5kms away from the bus stop. Spend some time here and do not forget to capture the sunrise and sunset views. Another quite famous temple is the Naina Devi temple devoted to the goddess Naina Devi. As per the legends, this temple is one of the 64 Shaktipeeths in India. This temple is located in the Ayarpatta area in Nainital.

5. Enjoy a ropeway ride for an unmatched experience

Have a fantastic experience of a bird’s eye view of Nainital by ropeway ride which runs from Mallital to a snow view point passing through hills and pristine Naini Lake.  

6. Enjoy birding sessions at Pangot and Kilbury at the famous bird sanctuary

Nainital is a paradise for birdwatchers. Capture the sight of exotic birds like Slaty-backed forktails, rufous-bellied woodpeckers, blue-winged mainland other beautiful birds too at Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary. Pangot is just 15 km from the city of Lake, Nainital, and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary is around 12 km from Nainital.

7. Enjoy the hair-raising adventure activities

Nainital offers plenty of adventure activities to adventure seekers. Rock climbing is one of them. There are several rock climbing schools in the area where one can learn the ropes and this sport. The Nainital Mountaineering Club is one of the major places one should check for this thrilling adventure.
